How to view a downloaded file from Suse Linux7.3 Server on Wins XP

Hi,

Please direct me how to view a downloaded file from Suse Linux7.3 on WinsXP. I copied smb.conf from Linux server to a floppy disk, but was unable to view it on my WinsXP. Please help.

umm... you can try a text editor but windows is usually unable to view linux formatted files.

I already tried Advance text editor but was unable to save the smb.conf file on my floppy disk.

you could use a freeware converter like unix2dos or 2dos, or install freeware VI for wintendo. There's a cmdline vi for use with cmd or bash, and a GUI version as well...
