Hi all,

What will be the simple way to type on pdf form without Adobe Acrobat typewriter? What will be its equivalent on Linux?

Thanks

Some programs that support forms:
evince
okular
document viewer

more possible replacements:
http://alternativeto.net/software/adobe-reader/
not all support forms.

Hi all,

My workaround - to type on pdf form and put signature/chop on it:-

1) install xournal

2) open the form on xournal

2) type text

3) export the doc as pdf file

4) install imagemagick

5) convert file.pdf file.png

6) open file.png on LibreWriter

7) paste signature/chop on it

8) export the document as pdf file again

Better solution would be appreciated. Thanks

..and this is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT question than what you first posted. You asked:

...and you were answered. Okular can easily let you fill in PDF forms, as can evince. What you are asking for is a way to put an IMAGE onto a PDF file...and a Google search turns up lots on the subject, including existing scripts to use evince to do so:

If the pdf does NOT support forms, then you would have to use workarounds some of which may be complicated.

Here's a few programs that annotate:
