How to trace bug status?

Hi,

I have a little bit difficulty tracing bug status.

Situation is, Everything starts at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=492159
I want to trace http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6138 http://lkml.org/lkml/2004/5/24/4 and http://lkml.org/lkml/2004/11/1/9 which I found by web search.
It seems bugzilla one is not taken care of. I have not found how to trace the other two.

I think the problem addressed in 492159 is same nature, which I need to troubleshoot.

I will appreciate any sort of direction.

Cheers

Happy Penguins!
