how to sync hw clock with date


Hi

I have a RedHat AS3 in HP - DL380

if I do date it gives me a different time than hwclock. Can you tell me how to synchronize this HW clock and system date.

Redhat / Fedora runs hwclock --systohc everytime you shutdown/reboot. That's no fun if you are trying for maximum uptime so, you could run this command.
Code:
su - -c "ntpdate ntp.nasa.gov ; hwclock --systohc"
