how to stop processes in linux
 
Hi,

Does anybody know how to stop processes in linux so that they can be resumed after some time? Actually I want to freeze the system so that I can save the RAM contents to harddisk. There is a s/w called software suspend but it seems to be complicated.

try ctrl+esc
i think this is what you want.
