[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi,

every morning when I switch on my computer I start same applications. Where is the way to configure my linux distribution(currently ubuntu) to do that job automatically at startup?

Thanks

Hi,

Do you use console or XServer session (KDE, Gnome, etc.)?

If you want a program to start in Gnome :

Please run the command 'gnome-session-properties'.
A GUI will open, and you can add any application
to be "auto started".

Or just copy a 'Desktop Entry' ( <application>.desktop ),
also called an 'Icon' to the hidden file
/home/"username"/.config/autostart/
.....
