How to specfiy the some device node name to physical device(CF memory)

Dear Sir.

This is kay.kim.

My machine have a two external storage. this storage is a HDD and CF memory.

After boot. I'm check the /proc/partitions
Code:
poplinux@6wind-1: busybox (3.33)$ cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name

   8 0 488386584 sda
   8 1 48827392 sda1
   8 2 1 sda2
   8 5 48827392 sda5
   8 6 146483200 sda6
   8 7 242186240 sda7
   8 8 2056192 sda8
   8 16 1000944 sdb
   8 17 1000912 sdb1
It can check the sdb1 to link CF memory.

Every time, I'll boot from CF memory. CF memory are have "kernel image" and "ramdisk image".

And I want to create a shell script for update image's.

This script always update to "/dev/sda1/"

Question
1. How to specfiy the some device node name to physical device. I'm want to device node name "/dev/sda1" to CF memory.

Thank you

Hello,
Perhaps you can create udev rules (in /etc/udev/rules.d directory). In case you use busybox mdev, see http://quirk.ch/2010/01/how-to-set-u...es-for-busybox
Best regards,
Esteban
