How to shrink reiserfs wthout any data lose?

hi all...

Is there any possible way to shrink reiserfs as linux installation CD easily shirink NTFS....?

Situation is my machine has 40GB hard drive .

I installed SuSE 10 few month ago ..Now I want install

Fedora Core and FreeBSD..I mean triboot..

Means I want make some space for them without deleting existing SuSE 10..

Example we could easily shrink NTFS partition witout deleting exiting Windows OS..Don't we?

Guys do you think is it possible or not?

My mate suggested PCLinuxOS Live CD to shrink it with CUI.. but I'm not sure it works.

Did any1 tried that yet?

I just did that with Partition Magic 8 Rescue Disks - AFAIKS, no data loss occurred.

It was very slow, but what can you expect with a windoz tool on a Linux partition.

BTW, the "Rescue Disks" boot into DR DOS. Heck, it seems it worked...

You could use the resize_reiserfs command to reduce the size of the filesystem, then use fdisk to reduce the partition (be VERY careful not to make the partition smaller than the fs size though).
