Question How To Remove Windows XP from netbook in Unix

I want to install new programs on my netbook using Unix. I recently--3 days ago--installed Ubuntu which hasn't crashed as often as Windows XP. Now there is not enough room for both the Ubuntu and the Windows XP on the limited hard drive. How do I remove Windows XP using Unix? I tried similar routes as on the Windows platform, but I have had no success finding where to delete files.

I think by Unix you actually mean Linux.
But anyways, get yourself a CD or USB-drive that contains GParted, for example the GParted live CD/USB, boot from that, deleted the XP-partition and extend the Linux partition. Done.

Boot your Ubuntu liveCD and use Gparted to delete the windows partition and then extend your ubuntu partition to use the resulting free space.
