How to make KDE display names without cutting?

KDE3.2 displayed names without dots, i.e., "Let's say it's a name".
KDE3.3 displays it that way, "Let's say..."
Very unconvinient.

Anyone knows how to make 3.3 display full names like 3.2?

Thanks.

Do you mean the filenames in Konqueror? There's a setting in Konqueror's configuration to set the number of lines for filenames to take up. I tend to set it to something like 4 lines.

No, it's not that. I use "multicolomn view".
Here are screenshots:
multicolomn in KDE3.3
multicolomn in KDE3.2

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Ah, I see. I notice that the number of lines used in multicolumn view is entirely dependent on font size and icon size--the "number of lines" setting in Konqueror's "appearance" settings seems to have no effect. I guess you can try using larger icons and/or smaller font.

You're right.
Although, changing font/icon size is not comfortable:(

Thanks for help anyway, IsaacKuo.

yaaaa, the last KDE version to offer the option "icon text wraps around" was 3.14.........for some reason the kde developers took it out when kde 3.2x became stable..............it's kinda sad that the kde developers are bending over to the "eye candy" and "extra bloat" crowd instead of sticking with functionality and good taste!
