How to make Hiren's Boot CD

I lost my Hiren Boot CD which I got from a friend a couple of years ago.

I downloaded the Hiren Boot CD from a website.

I need your help to make a bootable CD.

It landed on the Desktop.

It was a .zip file.

I used the unzip command and expanded it successfully.

The name of the folder is ' Hiren98 '.

Code:
.........................................................................................................................

ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98> ls
BootCD.txt
 changes-97-98.txt
 CreateYourISO
 Hiren's.BootCD.9.8.iso
 Hirens.BootCD.9.8.zip
 keyboard patch
ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98>

..........................................................................................
'' CreateYourISO' and 'keyboard patch'
are folders.

......................
ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/CreateYourISO> ls
Copy iso file in this folder
 Create-ISO.cmd
Extract-ISO.cmd
readme.txt
 Tools
ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/CreateYourISO>

Tools is a folder.

............................................................
The following is the output of the readme.txt file inside
the 'CreateYourISO' folder

ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/CreateYourISO> cat readme.txt
copy iso file in this folder and run Extract-ISO.bat
now add your files in MyCD (you can also
modify HBCD\keyboard.bat) run
Create-ISO.bat to create new iso named MyHBCD.isonissanka@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/CreateYourISO>

I am clueless as to the above contents of
the readme.txt file. It looks like a single sentence
suggesting a several steps.
It's all Greek to me.
.......................................................................

Inside the 'keyboard patch' folder I found a 'Readme.txt' file too
.......................................................................
ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/keyboard patch> ls
keyb.dat

keyb.sys

Patch.bat

Readme.txt
ni@SuseLinux103:~

.......................................................................

ni@SuseLinux103:~/Desktop/Hiren98/keyboard patch> cat Readme.txt
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hiren's BootCD 9.8 Custom Keyboard Settings Patch

Option 1:

Modify X:\HBCD\keyboard.bat (right click and EDIT)
Re-create iso

Option 2:

Step 2
Copy "Hiren's.BootCD.9.8.iso" to Desktop

Step 3
Dubble click on "patch.bat"

Step 4
Burn The new file called "XX Patched Hiren's.BootCD.9.8.iso"

Done.

Right-Click on the the file "Hiren's.BootCD.9.8.iso" and see if there is an option "Write to Disc...". That should do what you want provided you have a CD burner and blank media.

Thanks verdeboy2k

You were correct.

It worked very well.

I just used the k3b program to burn it without batting an eyelid.

It creates the Hiren Boot CD and I am very glad.

It is an excellent product.

I recommend everybody to download and burn it.

removed

It has some excellent software to partition hardware, remove virus, etc.

It contains the 'Kill Disk' program. It is a superb product.

Some years ago I helped a friend of mine to remove all the viruses on her hard drive using the Kill Disk. She worked with Internet using Windows. As she didn't use an Anti-virus program, it was totally infected. Kill Disk removes everything.

Hiran's Boot CD is not an illegal product.

However, it contains some programs like Partition Magic.

Symantec doesn't give you Partition Magic. You have to pay for it.

You just did the most idiotic thing there --- Contradicting yourself.

Hiren's Boot CD IS INDEED AN ILLEGAL PRODUCT.

It contains numerous copyright applications, all activated with illegal licenses. Including Partition Magic.

It has a LITTLE freeware also but the majority of the programs are commercial, AND worth more than $10,000 PER cd.

So if you want to use it for commercial purposes - you better be ready for an INCREDIBLE legal claim!

As ppehrson says, this is copyright infringing software. I have removed the link to the site and closed the thread.
