How to make a bootable cdrom?
Is there a way for me to make a bootable cd-rom?
I have a cd writer and I downloaded the slackware via the ftp also the diskettes are a terror to work with in the installation procedure. Can I burn bare.i and color.gz to a cdrom? So I wont be dealing with bad blocks and so. How can I make a cdrom slackware bootable? |
you could just download the iso image at www.linuxiso.org ??

It's rather hard. You need to make the image yourself (I'd recommend to use cd-rw until it works correctly). There is a guide in Bootdisk-HOWTO available on www.tldp.org

/isolinux/README.TXT
find out /isolinux/README.TXT it's included with the packages which you have downloaded.
