how to linux live on ipod

Is there a flavor of linux that you could put on a
Ipod and then boot your computer from usb using a live version.

I think should be possible, then you could boot your computer
anywhere.

I don't have an iPod myself, but I assume it's simply a USB mass storage device.

If that's the case, it should be a simple matter of putting Feather, Puppy, or any of the other USB Live Distros about on there, by following the standard instructions.
