how to learn Linux. how to start. need basic tuturial


i'm new to Linux. i dont how start up with this. i would like to learn it step-by-step.need useful links

You haven't really given us much to grip onto here; do you want server/headless/command line, GUI, any particular distribution, etc etc.

In general, you are likely to learn stuff that interests you more effectively than stuff that doesn't, so what interests you at the moment?

the general flowchart is something like:

Try to do something --> hit problem --> find solutions --> learn --> repeat

and you end up learning (quite a lot - optional) and may even get good at not having problems.

If you will only be using the GUI of a desktop environment, there isn't much to know.

To learn more about how it works, learn about the command line. See the tutorials linked to in my sig.

Thanks for sharing these links onebuck. I am also new to linux and I find it hard where to start using these it would be easy for me. thanks again!
