How to know if I am using mbox-style or maildir-style?

Dear friends,

I am reading about sa-learn spam battling issues. It stated somewhere

"The actual command used depends on whether the folder is a maildir-style folder or an mbox-style folder. Mozillaís folders are mbox-style, but KMailís can be either kind (check the properties to make sure)."

Just wondering, how to check whether my mail folder is mbox-style or maildir-style?

thanks for your help!

If all your mails are store in one file then that is the mbox format. If for each directory in your mail client you have three directories (cur, new, tmp) on your file system and every mail is stored in an individual file then that is the maildir format
