Hey all. I recently got a book on security that came bundled with a live cd(Auditor). The distro is fine, no complaints EXCEPT...its live. I want to install it to my HDD so I can have it as my distro on a secondary computer so I can perform some of these security tests. The distro is Auditor like I said, but is there a method to install a live-cd regardless of distro? Yes I COULD use it live, but I dont see a purpose. And while there are reasons its a good idea, those points are irrelevant. Anyone? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the distro is intended to be installed, then there is normally one or both of:
1. Installer in the menus when the distro is running.
2. Install option at boot-up of the CD.

There are bootable CDs that are not intended for installing Linux---eg GParted
