how to increase brigthness of the webcam while running ?

Hi,

My webcam is being used by skype video with v4l/v4l2.

I am loging with ssh to this computer. Can I increase the brightness of the v4l running in skype ?

I for instance increase the mic, with the command, and I get better sound.
Code:
amixer -c 1 set 'Mic',0   255
Quote:
$ ivtvctl -d /dev/video0
$
gives nothg

$ xawtv -hwscan
gives
Quote:
/dev/video0: OK [ -device /dev/video0 ]
type : v4l
name : Logitech QuickCam Express II
flags: capture

Brightness ?

thanks

I have no idea about skype. Can you adjust the brightness when using camorama (you need to click the "show adjustments" button)?

Hi Mat,

camorama never show up anything with the ssh connection.
I tried the camstream but it hangs on the settings of the colors.
ssh / network too slow, it s like modem takes centuries
