how to force yes-response ssl prompting lynx

does anyone know how to have this option saved in the ~/.lynxrc file so that I don't have to manually set this option each time I use lynx?

yes

try puting the 'yes' command in that file but 'yes' runs forever so u gotta make sure it does it only once.

please explain how one would do this exactly

I don't think the yes command is going to help you
configure the .lynxrc command.

I tried to find a way to save the option from the
options screen, and it shows that it can't be saved
permanently in the options file. Maybe there is a
way to do it that isn't documented--but I don't know
how to do it.

yeah i knew the yes command wouldn't work. i just wanted an explanation :). thanks for your help though. i just don't understand why you can't save this option permanently. it is very annoying to have to change this everytime i use lynx.

My guess is that it's a security feature. Since lynx is designed
to be used by people with very little understanding of technical
issues, the author(s) probably decided it was safer to not allow
that as an option to be saved.

I just wish there was an override feature or a posted hack to
get around it if you knew what you were doing.
