an answer, in case someone comes across

try cleaning the view as follows. Run clearcase the commands:
lsview -properties -l <view> # to get uuid and working storage dir.
rmtag -view <view>
unregister -view -uuid <uuid>
rmview -force -avobs -uuid <uuid>
rm -rf /<view_working_storage>

This will clear all related to view in cc.
