how to configure the printer using shell scripting?


how to configure the printer using shell scripting in knoppix or in other linux distro?

Use lpadmin

It is like ----

/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p "avirup_printername" -E -v usb://printer_url_detected -P /usr/share/cups/model/C/printer_attached_ppd.gz
(for RH9)


"lpinfo -v" will show how your printer is detected by system
