In what way is realplayer not good in linux (apart from the proprietary licence).
mplayer will play older real formats with the codecs installed but not the newer ones... unless realplayer10GOLD is installed. (This is the only reason for having this installed AFAIK.) Mplayer is great in that it plays anything - however, it is not so hot at playing DVD movies: no menue support.
Personally I play online (indeed, any) music with totem, which comes with fedora. I havn't seen xmms for a while now.
