Question How to ckeck MD5 signatures after download ISO files?

Hi there,

Well, it's easy, but I have no clue what should I do with those MD5 signature files when download some applications or some Distro .iso files.
I mean how should I check MD5 signatures? Is there a software which I must use? How?
Thank you in advance for all your kind responses.

Regards,
Ali

Right, so... you downloaded the .md5sums right? And have'em in the same dir that your ISOs are? Ok, now all you have to do is type
Code:
md5sum -c {insert here some file.md5sum}
If everything is ok, your computer will spend the next few minutes working and then if the ISO is fine you'll get a message statin so.

Just use whatever burner app you prefer (Nero, etc). Make certain however that you burn the ISO as an image, not as a regular file.
