How to change the screen resolution in Red Hat 7.1 KDE env/

I have install Red Hat 7.1 on my PC and need to change the resolution on it but I am not good with linux how would I go about changing the resolution. it is set at 1078x1240 now and I want 800x600

Xconfigurator at the command line will work for you....

Try editing the file XF86Config in the directory
/etc/X11

there you will find a entry for modes in the screens section just add the resolution you want in the begininig of the line
