Hello All. I deeply appreciate the wonderful help I have received here from everyone.
I have a new question. I just got thru installing Free Pascal compiler and the Lazarus
IDE interface. It is really KOOL!
When Lazarus installed, it put the wrong pathway to the execution file on the Gnome
menu item under Programming Main Menu.
I used Krusader (one KOOL program itself)...to locate my startlazarus command.
An error box came up when I tried to execute from the Programming submenu...telling
me it couldn't find the item in the pathway. Lazarus installer indicated it was
in /usr/bin/share/startlazarus. However, it was actually located in /usr/bin.
I made a copy of the Lazarus menu item to the desktop and modified the icon pathway
to where the file really is...no problem there. It is all Kool, I have the IDE up
But, I went back to try and change the pathway of the menu item. I did this by going
down to the Gnome Menu under Applications, Right Clicked, chose Edit Menus. Up comes
Alacarte, I believe...but there is no way I can see using Alacarte to change the
pathway. I am sure there is a place somewhere in the filesystem that I could go thru
the terminal to manually change the menu item pathway. This is a little tedious,
so I would like to know if there is an applet or some other menu program that will allow
me to change the pathway of a Gnome menu or sub-menu item...Alacarte doesn't do it,
that I can see.
Thanks again for helping me
