How to change fonts on virtual terminals?

Hi group,

I am running FC8 and have a program that outputs multi-byte characters. it work fine under X but does not show correct characters on the virtual terminals running mingetty (/etc/inittab).

Have done google search and found references to /etc/rc.conf which does not exist on my system.

Any pointers?

It is a Fedora configuration issue not a supported release issue. What would be the answer for FC10?

I know nothing about fedora, but

http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-...le+font+fedora

The first one seems to be what you are looking for.

No help. Both xterm and Virtual Terminals have the same fonts:
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
I guess it is not the fonts but something else?
Here is the test program if you want to see what I am talking about:

I sure would like too figure it out.
