How to boot up from hdc1? Don't write lilo to mbr. Just leave minimum system files.

我的hdc是20GB的,
用cfdisk划出hdc1分区50MB,并设置为bootable。
复制软盘上的三个文件ldlinux.sys & syslinux.cfg & vmlinuz 到hdc1下。
重启后不能从hdc1启动。

怎样都能从hdc1启动?
不要写lilo到mbr;
只保留最少的几个系统文件!
有人知道吗?!

My hard disk hdc (20GB)
Use cfdisk make a partition hdc1 (50MB), and mark it bootable.
Copy files (ldlinux.sys & syslinux.cfg & vmlinuz) from floppy to hdc1.
Reboot system, but cannot boot up from hdc1.

I can't exactly understand your question.

If you think that you can just use the kernel to boot the system(That's what I think), then you are wrong, as then you don't have any shell(bash) or any method of comm with the system. So,it could not be done so easily.

Also, you'll need to make sure your BIOS is setup to boot from the Secondary Master drive, as that's what hdc pertains to

Cool
