how to backup a folder on several DVDs (no dar, any tar.gz, ... stuffs) ?


Hello
Since people dont own much tapes at home, is there any way to back you lot of GB on several dvds ?

( NO SPLIT, NO RAR, just burning the files on several DVDS or CDROMS )

What about making an archive and splitting them into a size that fits your DVD?

If you have 400GB to burn, you would have to get all those 25 DVD's just to get back one little file. Did you think about that ?

Solution : no splitting, or maybe tar.gz or rar if it remains on a single volume.
