How to access JBuilder 9 as a user on RedHat 9???

Hi! I've installed JBuilder 9 on RH9 platform(gnome desktop). I installed it as a root in /usr/local/jb9app folder and,so I can access it as a root. But I can't access it as a user what i mean is that I can't see the JB9 and its affiliated apps' icon on my desktop. How can I be able to see JB9 icon so I can access it as a user? Can anyone solve this problem and give a step-by-step explanation?
Thank u very much.
---CE
