As a Slackware user I do it all the time, with Slackbuilds.org scripts or with just building packages myself to check out software that isn't in the official repo.
I'm interested to know what Arch has that Debian doesn't -- Debian being "the distribution with the most packages".
Not to be taken literally, I just meant I was able to install packages that is available in the Arch repos so far, but that could change one day when I need that certain package and I would have to resort to getting the sources outside the Arch repos.
There's no denying debian has the most packages.
Anyway, good replies from everyone here. Keep up the great work.

Sorry, I missed this reply. I was asking purely out of interest as I had read Debian has the most packages but I know to not always believe what I read.
If I'm actually going to add something to my Slackware system, I almost always use packages I find in SlackBuilds. __BUT__ I like to play around building software just to see if I can. If you count those times, then I use more 'nonrepo' than 'repo'.
