how many of you roll your own distro

I was just curious how many of you setup linux from scratch? A long time ago... yeah right 3 or 4 yrs ago... You had to really work to get things like pcmcia and dvd working with linux. Now there's the famous rpms and debs, getting a linux box up and running is easier and easier...

You're right about that.

but I'd consider linux from scratch a mostly source-built system until you decide to implement a package management system.

I usually start with a very base slackware installation and work my way up from there.
