How does this make sense?

I was taught, rpm -Uvh to install, rpm -e to uninstall.... and yet this makes no sense to me.... I've got a program installed but not installed? can anyone translate?

file:/home/trinity/gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.gtk1.i386.rpm[root@localhost trinity]# rpm -e gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.gtk1.i386.rpm
error: package gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.gtk1.i386.rpm is not installed
[root@localhost trinity]# rpm -Uvh gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.gtk1.i386.rpm
warning: gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.gtk1.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 03436be1

hi there

when u do

rpm -e <package name>

then the first alphabets should be ther same as the name os the package in the rpm database so try

rpm -e gtk-gnutella

or to get the name as it is in rpm database run this

rpm -qa|grep gtk-gnutella
