How do I stop compiz from loading with kde

Hi.

A long while ago I configured compiz with some command to load with KDE
and I just think that it's more of a memory hog than anything else and just wanna revert to kde without flipping and swishy windows. Can anyone tell me how to stop compiz from loading when KDE starts?

Try this:
Start KDE, open a terminal window and kill the 'kde-window-decorator' and the 'compiz' processes, then log out of KDE. At next restart of KDE, compiz should be gone.

If not, you may have a custom startup script that you need to deactivate.

that worked .. I just killed compiz though, as I couldn't see kde-window-decorator in top.

Now my KDE is running alot faster. Compiz is like Vista, cute for about
a 1/2 hour and then it's annoying.
