actually it happens with ssh, telnet too

I think that depends on the server you connect to. There is a limit of time the server you are connected will let you stay connected if there is no activity. So every couple of minutes you should just browse folders. Of course, if you are downloading it won't disconnect you untill you finish your download and no more activity is detected. But only has to do with the server, and not the client, ;)

well yeah i thought so,

i brought my laptop to school
and connected to school comp..

i'm the only one who losing connections...

are you staying active however???, or you just let it sit there?

well, if i stay active, it doesn't lose connection =)
maximum idle time is about 10min i think

ok, well there you go. that's extablished in the server you connect to then. it isn't your problem, :)
