How do I get KPPP to use ttyS4?

I was wondering how to either...
1) Change the modem link to read from ttyS8 to ttyS4

or

2) Make KPPP use ttyS4 rather than using the modem link, as KPPP only goes up to ttyS3

You have to use the device that the modem is really on. If the modem is on /dev/ttyS8 then you have to use /dev/ttyS8.

The way that you explain it to kppp is tell kppp to use /dev/modem. Then log in as root and make /dev/modem a symbolic link to where the modem really is:
ln -s /dev/ttyS8 /dev/modem

If only you were a little sooner, I used pkgtool to open up my modem installer and reinstalled it, worked though
