how do I check how much hardrive is being used?
Hi,
Recently I upgraded the version of fedora core I am running on my computer. Before this upgrade the command du -h would display how much space being used/free on my computer. Now, this same command displays how much space each file takes up in a folder. Does anyone know how to check how much free space I have on my drive without du? Or, does anyone know if there is a du command with the original functionality I described? Thanks |
The command is df -h, not du -h :-).

there is a great program called filelight that will help u know exactly the folders that contain alot of space
"Filelight allows you to understand exactly where your diskspace is being used by graphically representating your filesystem as a set of concentric segmented-rings" http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=9887 |
