How can we register in a Distributor community for a live Linux Project?
Dear Friends,
I am a final year student of Computer Sci. And Engineering at National Institute Of Technology Jamshedpur (India).I suppose to do a
Project as a part of our curriculum. We have following major sub. in our curriculum.
1. Operating System.
2. Data Base Management System.
3. Computer Networks
4. Formal language and automata Theory,
5. Compiler Design.
6. Data Structures.
We are Keen to do a project which can be useful to the open source community and which can be implemented in practical.
So it's my humble request to all of you that please suggest me for the same.

Posting this much duplicates equals spamming LQ and is *not* appreciated at all.
If you understand Formal Specifications, then you can possibly pick up an existing project and try to improve it.
Usability/ Documentation projects can also be very useful.
You can try hardware hacking projects too. Some scanners are nearly supported, but some modification of source must be done in the back-ends. You can try those. E.g Scanners in the UMAX Astra series
But first, how many hours are you supposed to put into the project?
NRC-FOSS can also sponsor your projects. Have you checked that?
