How can IP ranges be listed in network commands like nslookup

I've been looking over various networking commands and am wondering how I could run a command that queries IP addresses;

192.168.1-200.1-254

I'd settle for
192.168.1.1-254

I tried nslookup 192.168.1.{1..254} but it comes back as;
Code:
;; connection times out; no servers could be reached

also, IDK if it is possible to do a list input where I can list all the IP's in a text file. That can be done but it is a little bit of work.

I know this can be done as I saw someone do it awhile back but I don't know where to start to do this.

Are you looking for nmap?
You can specify the ip range.
-F is for 4 usual ports or -p for a specific one.
Have a look to the car --help for options.

You could try :
Code:
 nmap -F 192.168.0-1.0-254 >> network_probe.txt
To have the results in network_probe.txt
