How can I use oprofile

Hi, guys:

Does anyone use a profile tool "oprofile" before? I would like to profile the shared L3 cache miss rate in my AMD machine. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to do it? Is it possible that opreport gives a incorrect result for this event?
