how can i display a information for all users when they login?

Hi,
I have a small linux network. Each computer is used by more than 1 user so i need to make a instruction such as telling them where to save their files, where to get the program... everytime they login(locally login with gnome). I know how to do this in windows using vbscript but i dont know how to do it on linux. Hope anyone give a suggestion. Thanks in advance
Thai

Are these users logging in as group members? Each user would normally have their own homepage. The home page could be on the machine or on the network.

You could change the greeting of the login manager. This would be handy for short messages. You could also come up with a graphic to use for the background that could include a message and diagrams.

Another thing you could do is use xmessage. "xmessage -file aMessage.txt" will display a word wrapped message on the screen. It will use a scroll bar if the message is too long.
