Question Hombrew distribution, no sound

Hey. Thanks for letting me on this forum.

I just made a new linux distribution that I hope to eventually, if i get the resources, maintained and downloadable. It's based on three Linux installations in one:Morphix,(Debian based) Lunar, (source based) and Slackware, (well, you get the idea). And does the works: Xorg, dri, etc. (Great). However, I can't get alsa to work (Not so great) I don't have all of the error code set up to give it to you yet, but as soon as I get to it, I'll make sure I post it on here. Any help, suggestions, scrutiny?

Thanks.

By "not working", what do you mean? Have you had alsa working on that system with a different distribution? Kernel?

What is your hardware specs? Does alsa support your hardware?

You left too many questions to really get a good starting point to help with.

sry bout that.

have 3 soundcards, all worked just fine.

one is my highest prefference if i can get it to work this time, a SBLive Emu10k

some C-media i don't know what,

and

an SIS onboard controller which also works with every version of alsa I used.

I at one time used slackware 10.2 and also had Fedora Core 5 and Ubuntu Linux on a seperate Hard drive. They all worked. I'm just trying something new.

I'll get you some logs when i get the chance.
