I know about UNIX and I know about Linux, and I know Linus Torvald created Linux, but where does Torvald fit into the timeline. Also what distro did he create. I guess I'm just asking to give the history of how Linux started.
Linus didn't create a distro. He did the original programming to reimplement the unix kernel onto desktop systems. If you want to learn more about Linux, you should also learn the history of GNU.
