Hidden files not shown in 'find' of Dolphin in KDE4

As the title says, hidden files are not being shown in the results of 'find' command of Dolphin in KDE4. Is it with others also or there is some problem in my installation?

Edit:
Even Nautilus does not find hidden files (those starting with a '.')
I think Konqueror finds them.

I just tested in Dophin. I checked "Show hidden files" and
  • it found .xinitrc
  • it did not find xinitrc or xinit*
  • it found *xinit* (.xinitrc).

It appears the dot is considered a character.

Edit: Dophin 1.4

I am not able to view hidden files in Dolphin even on finding with *xinit* keyword. Show hidden files is enabled and these files are visible in the folder if no find is used.

I am using Dolphin version 2.0 in KDE4. I tried with *xinit* and *conky* and they are not being found. In konqueror, on pressing control-F it opens a separate windows for finding files, where there is an option 'show hidden files'. The hidden files are seen when this option is checked and not seen if it is not checked.

I checked in 'configure dolphin' options. There is no option to show hidden files in find files.

I wonder if it's something version related? I'm out of ideas, since I was unable to duplicate the problem.

I was using Debian. Which distro were you using? I might have it loaded up in Virtual Box and be able to test with it.

My distro is Arch linux, but it may be due to version of Dolphin. I am using 2.0 while you wrote that you tested in ver 1.4

Unfortunately, I don't have Arch set up in a VM and right now I don't have the time to set it up. Maybe an Arch user will drop by. Sorry I couldn't help.
