hidden dirs?
Hi, im quite new to linux and have a small que about hidden dirs. So, is there any way to hide dirs, but still be able to enter them?

hiden files and directories have a . (dot) in front of them.

hello,
all files and directories which have a period in the begining (e.g. /home/.kde) are hidden. Of course a ls -a shows all of them. The best way to to make the items to be hidden is to put them in a directory which is only readable by the owner. root will still be able to see them though.
