reconstruct the MBR from WinXP or a DOS boot disk with FDisk.

Then boot the mandrake CD, in rescue or maintenance mode to get a shell.

mount your root and boot partitions, chroot /mnt/yourrootpartition.
and reconstruct the MBR with lilo or grub, adding the XP OS correctly.

If you fell that the grub or lilo.conf files are at a afault then fix those.

Print the output part of your /etc/lilo.conf which concerns XP

I believe its currently at default wich resembles

other=/dev/hda1
label=windows
table=/dev/hda

something like that

I tried re-installing lilo with the mandrake rescue disk
but when i do that it says stuff like fatal error
when i try to restore windows boootlader it still sticks with the flashing _
I re-installed mandrake, same thing
I deleted my bootloader but i couln't restore it to the normal windows one
so i had to re-re-install mandrake to get lilo back still nothing
I'm serious i need help
