Help on Samba

Hi all,
I have installed samba and Im facing some problems to it. Firstly, i have already configure the file located at /etc/samba/smb.conf. (shown below).
I have already created a smbpasswd file and copy necessary users etc...from etc/passwd to smbpasswd.

[global]
workgroup = WORKGROUP
server string = P0854535 Server
hosts allow = 10.0.0.2
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
security = user
encrypt passwords = yes
smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd

[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browseable = yes
writable = yes
read only = no
create mode = 0750

I added username Alvin and wants to access the home directory of Alvin thru a client's side; i typed #smbclient //10.0.0.1/home -U Alvin, and this is the error i got.

Domain=[SERVER] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.33-3.7.el5]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

10.0.0.1 = Server IP
10.0.0.2 = Client IP.

Where is my error here? I'm kinda confused and frustrated. I googled it and i read up and some says is directory permission. What and How can i set it? is my smb.conf file correctly configured?
please advise asap.
