Help Installing Mandrake 8.2 Graphics Card does not seem to work

Hi

I wanted to install mandrake 8.2 but after I install it all that appears is the bootloader then a blank screen with nothing but my mouse appearing

I am using an ATI RADEON GRAPHICS CARD.

and I believe everything else on my system is compatible because I was able to get other versions of Mandrake to run

does anyone know how I can fix this

Thanks in Advance

Cheers

Andrew

As your machine boots, choose failsafe from you Lilo menu. Then, log in as root, and type in the command XFdrake - that should allow you to reselect a setting that will work. Try vesa if all else fails.
