Unhappy Help, I screwed up my Gigadrive

I bought a used Linksys Gigadrive recently. Inspired by an old article on LinuxJournal.com I decided to delve into the system. I finally went to far and screwed it up beyond repair. Now it won't boot up.

Without knowing what it's doing (no monitor, serial port, etc.) I'm stuck.

The article above mentioned a cd with a restore utility. Can anyone confirm or deny the accuracy of that claim. I don't have the disk, but if it can restore my drive maybe a can track down a copy.

Any other suggestions are most welcome!

Rescue disks

Try using tom's root-boot. www.toms.net. All the Linux you need to save your system on a single boot floppy. It's saved me more than once. There's other rescue disks I've used as well. Once tom's didn't have a
driver I needed. Find them at www.ibiblio.org in the linux section in the systems section under rescue, IIRC.
