Help choseing a MIDI player

I'm looking for a command line MIDI player to replace pmidi. I would like help finding one please:

requirements:
  • It needs to be able to take an url as an arugment and stream it (thats why I'm dropping pmidi)
  • It needs to automatically play to the MIDI port defined by $ALSA_OUTPUT_PORTS
  • The lower the hardware requirements the better
  • Naturally I want ALSA support not OSS
