Headless, error on XOpendisplay


Hi everyone,

I succeeded in setting up a serial console for my linux box. this was a chore because my serial console (a laptop running windows and hyperterminal) did not have a serial port so i had to use a usb/serial converter. I had to recompile the kernel to include support for the serial console.

Now I get this error every few seconds, and I wonder if anyone can shed light:

I have run vncserver and connected to the desktop just fine. I don't have a monitor or keyboard attached. this started happening after i recompiled the kernel i think.
