hdparm settings after reboot

I found this nice little guide on increasing your hard drive performance using hdparm. At the end of the article the writer says:

Quote:
Be sure to add the above line to your /etc/rc.d/* scripts once you're sure the system is stable
I'm not getting him here. I know the hdparm settings are lost after reboot but how can I make them set all time without having to manually issue the command every time I boot?

Thanks.

Well I've done it again. After searching for hours I couldn't find the answer and posted this question and then minutes later the google gods began to help me.

In gentoo, you edit the /etc/conf.d/hdparm file to the settings you want. Then add hdparm to your boot services:

rc-update add hdparm boot

Sorry for wasting this space.
